What we teach in DSM:
1.Growth vs fixed Mindset
and plan action steps to take for your child success
In the first lesson we show you the differences between growth vs fixed mindset and we will evaluate the 3 things you need to work on and give you an action step plan.
2. Beliefs of Champions / Remove limiting beliefs
and how to challenge limiting beliefs you’ll never achieve your goals if you don’t believe you can do it first.
3. Self talk
Take control of your inner voice: this is huge!! We constantly talk to ourselves and it’s very important that you speak nicely about yourself. It means that you have to notice the way you think of yourself. If you make a mistake and you say, “I suck, I never get it right,” this will cause you more harm than good. Remember, we are what we think about ourselves. If you make a bad pass, that’s ok, you’ll crush it the next play!
4. Goal Setting
Confidence is paramount, but it’s critical that you set goals. Those goals can be broken down into monthly goals and even daily goals. Daily goals are helpful because they don’t seem too difficult to achieve; building confidence. These daily goals will be a path you set to achieve the monthly goal.
5. Visualization and Script for games
the human body has approximately 11 million sensory receptors, about 10 million of which are dedicated to sight. So it makes sense that visual cues are the biggest catalyst of human behavior.
5b Affirmations
Affirmations to become more confident and better because you’ve already seen it in your mind. This really works, especially to overcome fear. But you have to be consistent!
6. Why Failure matters
Learning that failure is a natural part of the game. Failure is the greatest teacher So for example you can say: I’m the most confident player in the team, or I have a great memory, I remember everything. Affirmation has to say what you really want, why do you want it. Create your own script for games, create your own alter ego.
